Looking at Kobo site for other geolocations?
I know from my discussions with them that Kobo customer service can look at the Kobobooks site for different geolocations on demand. If I open the site, it automatically switches to Australian currency (because that's where I am).
I haven't found a way to look at, say, the US bookstore and US prices. Is this possible? Or does it lock my location based on my IP address? |

Log in, and change your country in your address details to the USA.

Tried that -- only place I could find to do it was under "Billing Information" -- and I was magically transported to Alabama. (I don't mind that.) But other than adding a "Kids Information" tab to my account settings (does being in Alabama mean I automatically have kids I don't know about?!), it made no change to my bookstore page, even when I logged out, closed my browser, and then went back in. It still wanted to tell me about Angus & Robertson, and I'm pretty sure they don't have an Alabama branch. Ne'er mind. It was kinda academic anyway. But I appreciate your response. |

Check that all of your "sign in options" in My Account > Account Settings are not linked - Angus & Robertson etc - and that you're just signing in with email/password. Also delete any credit card information on file.
After that, change the country in your Billing Address, press Save (not bottom right, Save on the Billing Address column), go back to Home, and Shift-Refresh to force a refresh. I've just tested it and it works. If it isn't, you may have missed a step, or you may be getting a cached page from somewhere. I just changed my billing address to the UK, to the USA, and back to Australia, all from a Swedish IP address, confirming that the home page had changed appropriately each time.
