Be aware that many freebies are only free for a day, so grab them fast!

Thanks for this. I read his Saturn's Children back in 2011 and really liked it. Kobo aren't oferring the special price, so Amazon gets the sale.

Something strange happens to Joe and Marge on the way to El Paso. They run into Throckmorton P. Ruddygore, a strange wizard who informs them that they are going to die in nineteen minutes and eighteen seconds.

But they also have a choice. They can abandon the current world by taking a ferryboat across the Sea of Dreams to a new life in a new world, full of magic, fairies and wonder.

But along with all its wonders, the new world is also the site of an ancient battle still being fought between the forces of Evil and Good, and the forces of Hell threaten to unleash perpetual darkness.Joe and Marge not only need their wits to survive in this unpredictable and dangerous world, but must somehow help prevent the oncoming Armageddon.

According to Luzme other UK retailers also offered this at £1.99 previously, including Kobo.
Don't know when, so they may or may not match the price ?

Today's Kindle Daily Deal is Ilona Andrew's Magic Bites: A Special Edition of the First Kate Daniels Novel for $1.99. As is sometimes the case, this is a publisher price and B&N also has it at $1.99 although Kobo and Sony still have it at full price. I haven't read this, but I've heard good things, so I'm picking it up at this price.

Note that there are two editions of this book and both are on sale for $1.99, but I've linked to the special edition with bonus material.

Looks like L. Ron Hubbard's Stories from the Golden Age has another freebie this month. Not sure it's exactly Sci-Fi, but they're comparing it to Indiana Jones, so I'll post it here. Feel free to move it to a more appropriate thread:

Included are the six stories that ran in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction (and were previously collected in The Gist Hunter and Other Stories), leading up to the events that began the first Hapthorn novel, Majestrum, plus three more.

A "freelance discriminator" is similar to the "private investigator" of our time.

A few weeks ago I spent $2.99 on this anthology, and I was happy. The author's style is similar to Jack Vance's, but seems natural, not "forced." I found the connection to the Dying Earth universe a bit strained, but unnecessary -- they're good stories that stand on their own. I liked it well enough to leave a good review.

I was just going through my library at Smashwords and noticed that this ebook is now FREE. I don't know if this is a limited time promotion or a permanent reduction, but this is really worth a look. (BTW, last I checked it was 99 cents at Barnes & Noble.)
