Glo Books disappeared from shelves

I'm pretty sure this has happened before to others, but I can't find relevant threads about it. Anyway, the number of book showing up on my shelves has been reduced from 600+ to 50+. The books are there on the SD card, I can see them in Explorer on my PC. But they don't show on the shelves. Tried a pinhole reset, but to no avail. So I think this must be a problem with metadata library, right? So what do I do? Everything is synced through Calibre (there, too, all books show up as resident on the card). Is there some "repair option" I can use?

if you manage your shelves with calibre, when you reconnect to calibre (if you have things set to automated (so it checks metadata when you connect the device)) it should just have the books jump back on the shelves automatically....

when connected to calibre looking at the books on the sd card, are the books listed as being on shelves?

if yes, and you disconnect, are they back on shelves?

Yes, Calibre lists all books on shelves when connected. Then when I disconnect, no change; still 50+ books on Glo. Where do I see whether Calibre automatically checks metadata on device?

Edit: Figured it out. It was set to "Only on send". Now it automatically checked and updated and the problem is solved. Still don't understand how the database got corrupted.

glad it helped! should fix itself now by attaching to calibre, if it happens again.
