Are you a Narcissist?
Do Narcissists Know They Are Narcissists?
Scott Barry Kaufman, Ph.D. Posted: 04/ 3/11 11:54 AM ET Think of your friendly neighborhood narcissist: status-seeking, grandiose, loud-mouthed, brash and flamboyant. Have you ever noticed how he brags all the time, not only about his astronomical I.Q. and bulging pectoral muscles, but also about the fact that he is narcissistic? It's as if he is proud of it. Lots of psychologists have theorized that a lack of self-awareness is a hallmark trait of narcissists. My personal experience with narcissists does not seem to support this. It seems to me as though they are not only aware of who they are, but also embrace it. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/scott-..._b_840894.html . |

Eep! That hits a little close to home!
![]() What does "meta-perception" mean? And how does it contrast to "self-perception?" |

According to Miriam and Webster the defintion of a narcissist is: love of or sexual desire for one's own body. Actually I much preferr my wife's body.

Well, narcissistic men tend to be beautiful, which I like, but they don't have much time for their ladies, and that's a pity. I never met a really stupid narcissistic man though...............yet

![]() In 1964, Yepes performed the Concierto de Aranjuez with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, premièring the ten-string guitar, which he invented in collaboration with the renowned guitar maker José Ramírez III[5]. ![]() ![]() Yepes' 10-string guitar tuning The instrument made it possible to transcribe works originally written for baroque lute without deleterious transposition of the bass notes. However, the main reason for the invention of this instrument was the addition of string resonators tuned to C, A#, G#, F#, which resulted in the first guitar with truly chromatic string resonance - similar to that of the piano with its sustain/pedal mechanism. After 1964, Yepes used the ten-string guitar exclusively, touring all six inhabited continents, performing in recitals as well as with the world's leading orchestras, giving an average of 130 performances each year.
