Save to Disk without Overwritting

I have a number of files with the same name and title that I'm trying to save to disk but Calibre just overwrites them so I end up saving one file at a time. I also save pubyears but everything was published in the same year.

Can I make Calibre store the days and months when the files where published? If so, how?

I know I can use %D when saving to disk but %D doesn't seem to work.

Most of us are updating the device copy, so overwrite is desired.

STD is mostly used for devices that can't be connected as an 'identifiable' device model.

You can add the field {pubdate} to the save to disk template. Either to the filename or to the path you use in the template.

You need to edit the pubdates to make sure they are unique. To display full dates with day in the GUI, go to preferences and in the dialogue for Tweaks goto "Control how dates are displayed" and change:

Code:
gui_pubdate_display_format = 'dd MMM yyyy'
Got to preferences and in the dialogue for Saving books to disk, change

Code:
Format dates as: %d %b, %y
Use a save to disk template something like this:

Code:
{authors} - {title} - {pubdate}

Thanks Adoby, this works and it's exactly what I wanted. Even better, the pubdates were saved as %d %b, %y when I added the texts/

Again than you for your answer! Regards!
