Streamlining "open with"
“Open with” would be easier to use if it opened with the focus changed to a new window on top of Sigil instead of underneath. As it is now, when I have invoked “open with” and selected the editor (usually “vi”), I have to go hunting for the new edit window and, when I'm done, go hunting for Sigil again. The ideal would be to open directly into the editor of choice and exit the editor directly back into Sigil. My system is Kubuntu 12.04 Precise and Sigil 0.7.3 (Thanks, Diapdealer!).

Yeah, I noticed the focus issue on Linux, too. I can verify it doesn't happen with the Windows builds though.
I don't mind the naming dialog the first time, though (if it popped above the main Sigil Window that is). It only happens when you want to open a particular filetype in a different editor than previously used. Last edited by DiapDealer; 08-10-2013 at 09:54 AM. |
