Dennis Wheatley eBooks available from 10th October

I don't know if it's of any interest to anyone, but I noticed yesterday that what appears to be the entire back catalogue of Dennis Wheatley's books are being released as eBooks (in the UK at least) on 10th October. I used to be a big fan of his books such as "The Devil Rides Out" in my younger days, although I've no idea how well they'd stand up to re-reading.

I read about 4 Dennis Wheatley novels when I was in my 20s and enjoyed them, mainly for the atmosphere.

Unfortunately, I have no memory whatsoever of what I read.

I'll probably buy one to see if I can get into it.

Thanks, Harry, for the information.

Thanks for this information, HarryT! I read many of his books in my youth and would be glad of the chance to re-read as epubs. Hope they are made available in the USA.

Looks like a flood of them in pre-release at Amazon US -- scheduled for October 10th. Most seem to be priced at $7.39.

I remember reading a batch of his Roger Brook novels back in the 60s-70s. The character has a dual life as the Chevalier de Breuc, an aide to Napoleon, and an agent of William Pitt. They were blockbusters in the day (you would see them in every drugstore or airport terminal), and I enjoyed them then - don't know how they would read now.

Interestingly, new paperbacks are also being released on the same date, so this isn't just an ebook release. I wonder if perhaps the rights to his work have been sold to a new publisher, and that new publisher is having a "relaunch" of Wheatley's works?
