Getting Cool reader work with Calibre?

I use Cool reader as my reader on android. I naturally also use Calibre as my book manager.

I cannot get Cool reader to work with the calibre server ;( I use password with Calibre because it is exposed to outside. Any other software that supports opds seems to work fine with the passworded server (Fb reader, Moon reader etc). However Cool reader is refusing to work with it. I am wondering if anyone here was able to make it work. Maybe it is a bug in Cool reader. I thought that I would ask here first before bugging Cool reader devs

If it works with the other readers then there is something unique in Cool reader that does not support the authentication that calibre content server uses.

I use Calibre companion to manage the books on my android device. It works great with the Content server and allows your Android device to connect to calibre as a device via your local Wifi. It will also allow you to launch any book directly in the reader of your choice, in your case Cool reader.

I do not use Google Play. So getting Ca Companion is no option for me. Thanks for the recommendation though.

I do not mind paying/supporting the developers, but theyhave to be able to accept other means of pay.

I believe it is also available in the Amazon App store which can easily be installed on most all android platforms.
