Kobo locked rotation problems

Can anyone offer me any advice on a software problem. I have a kobo arc 7 HD. The lock rotation function works for everything except the kobo ereader itself. It very annoying as I mostly want to use it when reading in bed! As it only happens in the kobo ereader function I'm guessing its a software issue.

Hi, I have the old Arc but I presume the software is the same. There is a setting in the Kobo app for "orientation" - Automatic, Portrait, Landscape. I keep mine set to Portrait.
