Hi All, I use Overdrive and I'm happy with it but...I think the dictionary is poor. Can the inbuilt dictionary be deleted and another installed. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

There's something about that question that doesn't make sense. Overdrive is a book source. The dictionary for my device is independent of that source; it is the same dictionary for all books regardless of their source. So I'm not sure overdrive is relevant.

Now, I use a nook, so maybe it is different for other systems. On a nook, you're stuck with the dictionary nook provides. I suppose you could root the OS and substitute in a dictionary of choice but I gave up on the root idea when I realized it would cut into my nap time.

I will say that what bugs me most about the dictionary lookup on a nook is that you can't look up a word in the definition; if you look up the form of a word, the definition will simply refer you to the root of the word but provide no means by which you can look that root up. Frustrating but I don't cry about it (except here).

What device or app are you using to read your Overdrive books on?
