				Booklamp Beta launched
Interesting website at http://beta.booklamp.org which aims at finding you books to read by analysing the text of books you already like, in much the same way as Pandora does with music. It's in beta test at the moment, and has only a limited selection of books to analyse, but people are encouraged to give it a go and say what they think on the forums. |

oh, sounds great ! i loved pandora, i was so sad the day they limited access to the US residents... if Book Lamp works as well as Pandora it should be a lot of fun.

Greatest idea ever. Google should buy Pandora and booklamp, create some kind of relationship database? Amazon does this with what other people are buying option.

This is pretty neat, but I wish it had a better selection. If you want to see something somewhat amusing, take a look at what book most closely resembles George Orwell's 1984

It doesn't do very much at all at the moment, since it's more a proof of concept than a working thing. But it makes book recommendations based on computer analysis of text rather than personal opinion, so it does the same thing differently, really.
