One Device at a time
I have 3 different devices that my wife and I use at any given. It appears that calibre can only support one device. I can only select one device. Is this true?

No!
You can only CONNECT one device at a time. Each device (model driver) allows a custom 'save to' template (configures while device is connected. Each device allows selection of preferred formats. |

Just plug in your devices one by one. calibre will connect to them all, but only one device at a time must be plugged in.
