Metadata Download Review

I find that the new option to View the book does not open the Preferred Output Format - in my case ePUB - as I assumed it would.

It seems to open the first available format in the Preferred Input Order list.

Would it be possible to have 'something' to force the Preferred Output Format to be opened if its available, before using the Preferred Input Order list.

I was also wondering if the Review process could show the Book being reviewed in the Book list/spreadsheet, similar to what Quickview does. But without the ability to do anything other than look, so the review panel would still be modal. I often find myself looking at Custom Column data in the Book Details panel - but when doing bulk downloads its usually the wrong book

BR why is you preferred Output not also your best (top) preferred Input?

We've been here before - so once again

I rarely want to convert from ePUB, so to me at least, having it at the top of the list of Preferred Input Formats makes no logical sense. I appreciate my interpretation of Input may be 'abnormal'.

The only reason for me to have ePUB at the top is so that 'V' will always open it, but in that configuration it caused me to make many mistakes and get very confused.

So, I redirected 'V' to View Specific format, which suits me and my keyboard centric practices very much better, and I relegated ePUB down the list, out of the way. Since I did that a couple of months ago, the number of mistakes I make has gone down by at least one order of magnitude.

For me the other issue, Book list to tag the Review list is more important than which format gets displayed.

Another feature I'd quite like is a Previous button

The view button does the same things as the view button in the main GUI. That is not going to change.

Thanks Kovid. but I don't use buttons, I use shortcut keys - Alt/V in this case.

I got a shock when my text editor opened a text file, and then on the next book my unarchiver opened a ZIP. If its 'easy' to do, then maybe Alt/V could do the same thing as it does in the main GUI - open the Choose Format list.
