RSS reader?

Hi! Since google reader is going away, I'm working on new RSS reading solutions: web based, apps, self-hosted, not self-hosted ...

I've tried a couple of web based readers on the Kobo Aura HD Web Browser (Tiny Tiny RSS, Feedspot and more), but so far I've not found anything usable ...
Any hints? Have you found something working?
(Syncing through Calibre is not what I'm after, as it ties me to the computer, plus I also want to read from my iPhone and keep sync/read status between devices ...)

I can't help, but I'd like to hear about what you find.

I've posted the very same question in the general discussion, found nothing.

It is shame we don't get to read rss on a device specifically formatted for reading...

A featured RSS reader app with cloud sync would be a killer feature, IMHO ... (Kobo, you listening?)

I've tried quite a few web based (general and self hosted) RSS reader alternatives.

But they seems to be incompatible with the Kobo Web Browser. Many have trouble scaling text to the display. But a more dire problem seems to be that clicking links to the main articles (referenced by the RSS article/summary) doesn't work.

I _think_ the problem is target (to open in new window/tab) or something simple like that.

Yes, that's the problem with any link that wants a new tab or window. Very annoying that no alternative is given (i mean in kobo's webbrowser)...if they don't want to add tabs or windows, it should at least give you the chance to redirect to that link. ah well.

Being Linux, open source and such, maybe it's possible to install another browser? Static compiled dillo, or something weird?
