				any speed readers?

im looking for something i can use to read. i read nonfiction, science and technical. mostly pdf. i read quite fast and want to get my speed up to what it was in university. i tried a sony prs-something years ago but was so small(6") and slow it went to the obsolete gadget box so im kind of turned off of e-ink. i like the hackability of android and was looking at the kindle 8.9 because of the lightness, size, res and reviews. can any other speed readers direct me to look at other devices? thanks |

I'm loving the B&N Nook HD+, and it's on sale right now for $180 which is an awesome price for the hardware. Plus it has Google Play on it now, so you don't need to fuss with different app stores if you don't want to. I haven't been impressed by Amazon hardware in the past, but YMMV. If you will be using mostly PDFs, then you definitely want a tablet. |

I would recommend an iPad. The iPad with the "Goodreader" app for PDF is a superb PDF reader.

Take a look at the Asus Fonepad. Previously used the Kobo Arc but this is so much more a complete all in one device
