My K4 NT (graphite) was delivered yesterday. I've been reading and experimenting non-stop since then

. I'm quite happy with the product but have these questions:

Model No. is D01100. How can I find if it is with or without offers?
I am reluctant to register since I do not intend on buying books from Amazon. I want to read free books from sites like gutenberg.org. Registration may bring ads, but without registration all the settings will not become available. What can I do to fix this?
Strangely, there was no manual preloaded. Where can I find it?
What do the two small conductors/lugs at the lower back do?

You must surely know if you bought a Kindle with or without offers? The price is different.

Register, then keep WiFi turned off. The initially downloaded batch of ads will expire in a few days.

The manual is in your Archive. This will only be accessible after you register.
