corrupted data base

when I try to open caliber I get the following message your caliber data base seems to be corrupted do you want caliber to repair it automatically when I say yes the message comes back data base failed to repair.tried reinstalling and no joy can anyone help please

I can't help with the particular issue, but if your data is backed up I'd use that instead. Databases do tend to get corrupt, and backups are essential.

Tend is a harsh word. # years of almost daily use of Calibre DB and 1 corruption (I was mixing OS access to the same DB when I tripped ).

1)NAS is not approved, some get away with it, others don't.
2)Multiple OS is not recommended (this usually results in filename errors, nor corruption (unreadable) )
3)Simultaneous Calibre access from multiple PC's
