helping finding info

I have been going on this forum on Calibre and I guess my ADD is just not helping me. I have used Calibre for several years but I know I am not using it to it's full advantage. I have a large selection of ebooks and I just realized last week that I could go in, find all the different formats I have of ebooks, pull the format up, convert to Epub which is what I use and then delete all the other formats that I don't need. How helpful is that? So I wanted to know where I can find threads on not really the beginning use of Calibre but more advanced things I can do with it. Any suggestions?

I guess what I might be looking for is a Calibre book for Dummies !!!

Such a thread will probably not exist because it would be out of date within a few weeks. Calibre changes very quickly, which is why we recommend NOT reopening a thread that has been idle for a few MONTHS (For other programs, that is YEARS). Sigil is another such program. Sigil 7 is not much like Sigil 2 of a few years ago. Possibly, it is because some of the same developer work on that ALSO

1) Read the FAQ, Watch some of the tutorials of the Official Calibre Help page.

2) Read recent threads (and ask thread specific questions ) here at MR

Calibre does lots of things that ARE NOT relevant to my device nor my Library. I imagine your usage will have the same.

We are ALL DIFFERENT in our usage:
I keep original formats, even if I make a conversion
I keep formats for all my devices
My preferred Cover (size) is 300px wide (smaller file size that still looks reasonable in the cover browser)
99.99% of my Library is Fiction.
I don't (could not even do so on my PEZ ) annotate

Read the threads, there are millions of users. There are thousnds of ways that he use Calibre that is not MY way
