Content server: how2 switch between multiple libraries?

The calibre content server seems always to be pointing to the library which is currently in use (visible) by calibre. Is there an easy way to (remotely) switch to another library you might have created and access the books there?

No - any particular Content Server instance always points to a particular library.

Having said that, there is nothing to stop you starting up multiple Content server instances from the command line giving each one its own unique port/library combination (there are parameters available to allow these to be specified).

No (which is very good security )
BUT
You could start a second content server (on a different port)

using the CLI: --with-library switch

@itimpi: thanks!

@theducks: thanks!
But, I do not understand the "very good security" statement. Because when you start the content server from calibre, every time you change from one library to another when working in calibre itself, everybody which might be connected ALSO switches to that other library, which might not what you want at all.

Good security means: the client can't just pick and choose. You might have a library that the outside world should not have access to. By explicitly setting what library, you can count that it is safe from the wrong eyes.
