Custom wallpapers question

I am wanting to jailbreak my PW version 5.3.3 so that I can have custom wallpapers. I have the ad version and was wondering if the custom wallpapers would work with the ads or do I need to pay amazon $20 to remove the ads and then jailbreak to get custom wallpapers. I have googled this and can't seem to find an answer anywhere. I do no mind having ads at all, but I would like to have custom wallpapers. Thank you.

Pay Amazon to remove ads, the ScreenSaver hack does NOT work on SO versions.
