PW page refresh on each turn problem

I tried a txt file today, and my PW had an error, then it start refreshing page on each turn on any file (mobi or pdf). I check the settings, the page refresh is set to "off", to not to refresh on each page turn.

I restarted the device, and nothing change, I then reset it and it is still having this problem. Anyone got same problem? any idea how to solve?

Delete the bad text file and restart the PW again. If that doesn't fix the issue call CS.

Oh, you did a complete factory reset rather than a restart. I misunderstood your first post. In that case call CS.

I just tried the steps to restart the PW from the troubleshooting Amazon website, and it is now back to normal. I don't know why, as I already restarted the device twice (from the settings menu), and I even resat it to its default condition, and did not help. Now after those steps it is ok. Restarting your device can resolve issues like a frozen screen or problems downloading content.

1. Press or slide and hold the power button for 20 seconds. After 6 to 8 seconds, the screen will go blank. This is normal. Continue to hold the power button.

Sorry to bring back this old thread but I am facing this issue now. I tried the suggestion above but still the same. I was on firmware 5.3.1, now updated to 5.3.3 and the issue is still there.

Any solution guys?

Someone said to let it fall alseep and then that will fix it. It seems to be a common bug. See this thread

Thanks. I will give that a try, although I have the official leather case which puts the device to sleep when I close the case.

Leave it open and let it go to slept naturally. Follow the instructions here.

Ok I tried it and it did work initially but went back to the old issue. I will explain.

After leaving it to sleep naturally, I picked it up and started reading a new chapter that showed 20 mins as the time remaining to finish it. Initial page turns were fine, refreshing every 6th page or so. But towards the end of the chapter, i.e. when time remaining was about 2 minutes, the issue came back. What is weird is that I didn't take any break during reading at all. I finished the chapter in one stretch, without letting go of the device from my hands at any point of time and yet towards the end it came back.

I'm with the same problem, besides the function x-ray does not appear anywhere .... anyone else have any idea what this is?
