Fire 2 Microphone
Well, the $1.26 mic from China finally came in and I loaded up Tape-A-Talk and ... it actually works. For a while I didn't think so until the 'DUH!' moment hit.
Since the microphone plugs into the headphone jack, you have to remove the mic to hear what you recorded. I don't think they'll ever get Skype to work this way. -----Paul----- |

Headphone with mic is OK for personal listening but I prefer the capability of running sound thru a speaker. Or maybe a bluetooth set. And I think the USB port and some of the creative geniuses on the XDA forum might lead to keyboards and things. Oh, the wonders you might see.

Bluetooth would have advantages. Fire2 does not have it. The adapter came in today. Works OK with standard headset/mic, though the two sockets are awfully close together.
