Why did I do that?...

Hello every one,
Sorry for my english, but I'm french.
I've just erased all the files in the system folder of my Cybook Gen3 ( I thought there would have been aa automatic reformat procedure...) but now, I ve got lot of squares on the screen and nothing more....
Is it possible to find the system files avalaible for download?
Many thanks!

First try doing a RESET. But if that doesn't work, write Bookeen.

Hi everybody,
Thank you for your help!
I did several rests, I plugged out the battery but I still have the squares. I can't even turn the Cybook off!
I've written to Booken, but no reply for now...
As I bought the Cybook on eBay, I'm not sure they will agree to help me.
Once again, many thanks.

Unfortunately it has not work : after the boot logo, while pressing the enter key, I still have the squares....
Perhaps would it work if I manually place the system files with the windows explorer??
Thanks

It happens very often that people loose the system files. Why not just put them on a web site and created a sticky thread that gives the address to it. Or just put the as an attachment here?

Must admit that one of the first things I did when I got my CyBook was to make a copy of the system files. It immediately struck me how easy it would be to accidentally delete them!

In this video, you can see, how the reflash procedure must look like:
http://www.justread.de/videos/cybook-reflash.html

@tompe: Bookeen doesn't want everyone to have access to those files. It would be no problem, if their support were better. But i hope that will change soon. And until then i try my best to help out

tribble,

Would you mind it if we put this flash video up at NAEB? Enough people have this problem that this would make a great resource.

It's just that I feel people would get a faster response with the help they need from NAEB then Bookeen given what I have been reading.
