Frankfurt calling
Or at least reasonably close to Frankfurt, Germany.
After following the e-Ink developments for some years, I finally took the plunge in summer 2011 with an Amazon-refurbished Kindle Touch 3G with special offers, that a colleague brought over when he was on business in the US (since the USD/EUR exchange rate was favourably and Amazon in Germany offerd neither refurbished nor ad-supported models). Lately my device developed some strange online problems that the (great) phone support couldn´t figure out so today, happily I received a replacement unit (now without special offers, even). The problems with the old unit and completely foiled attempts to jailbreak it brought me to this forum, that I had followed only passively so far. |
