Error After Upgrade
I was using an 8.x version of Calibre and all was fine until I wanted to purchase a couple of books. Wanting to give the credit to Calibre (such an amazing application - well deserved), I tried to find the books via the Get Books link. It was not finding the books for some reason, so I decided I was overdue for an update.
The update seemed to go fine. When it was complete, I searched for and bought the two books. They were DRAM unlocked, so I imported the two books and then started noticing problems. I am now unable to either edit metadata or convert my books. It seems to be an issue that applies to all my books. Below is the error and tracebook when I attempt to edit metadata. My library is on my personal folder on a network drive, but I am a domain administrator - so there should not be an issue with file permissions. I've also restarted my machine in case there were any file 'in use' issues. calibre, version 0.9.6 ERROR: Permission denied: Could not change the on disk location of this book. Is it open in another program? The link you sent him to might be confusing (it confused me) since it just links to the menu item and not the actual article further down the page. Last edited by DoctorOhh; 11-19-2012 at 04:46 AM. |

![]() I will move my library and see if that resolves the issue. Last edited by DoctorOhh; 11-19-2012 at 09:59 PM. Reason: fixed opening quote |
