the bottom (error) line implies 'damaged' zip file

Fortunately, cbr files are some of the easiest to manipulate manually if you know what you're doing. They're actually zipped files (rar format, to be specific) containing images and optionally a table of contents.

My suggestion is to try to unzip the file using Winrar, 7-zip (my favorite), or any other rar-enabled unzipper. You may need to change the extension to .rar first. If the file is indeed damaged as suggested by theducks, this will confirm that. Otherwise, you should end up with the images and TOC as files on your hard drive.

If it extracted successfully, re-zip it, making sure to preserve the exact directory structure. If you zip it into a .rar file, change the extension to .cbr. If you zip it into a .zip file, change the extension to .cbz. Then try converting it again.

With Winrar typical installation, you can usually right-click on a RAR and select 'Test Archive'
