Troubleshooting How to fix Kindle Paperwhite Error code 0

Two days ago, my kindle suddenly froze and displayed the "Your Kindle Needs Repair" message. I've searched online for solutions and came across this https://www.reddit.com/r/kindle/comm...s_your_kindle/
But the problem is, kindle only displays for a fraction of a second (basically non existent) on my computer, but it does show up as Amazon Kindle under 'Devices and Printers' in control panel. However, I can's open the files in it. I contacted Amazon Support, but they simply said there's nothing they could do bout it, and advised me to get a new one....
Anyone with a fix, either to get kindle to display properly, or alternative methods I can try to fix this issue?

Follow the directions at the link (cribbed from this site without giving credit).
If it is too fast for you - write a scripted loop to continue trying to put the name on the device while it boots.
You can find those directions and examples here, the same as the Russians and reddit did.
Now that you have become a member here, you have access to the 'advanced search' features of the site.

Could you point me to the right post for setting up a loop?

I've tried to search for it, but can't seem to find the right one.

I've also tried to use USBDeview, attached is the screenshot of Kindle, after plugging it in.

Just wait for a Windoze user to answer the "HowTo write an endless loop" batch file question.

Writing an endless loop in a Windows batch file is very easy:

start:
copy <whatever needs to be copied>
goto start

Now fill in the <whatever needs to be copied> with the actual destination as seen under Windoze 10 from within a batch file.

It worked!! Thank you guys so much.

Somehow I'm afraid it might happen again. I remember reading something about installing some software on jailbroken kindle to restore in case something like this happpens, can someone point me to that post? I can't seem to find it.

Also, thank you so much for repairing my kindle!!

It is called the 'rescue pack' and the 'cowards rescue pack'

I don't use them, so I don't have the links, and I don't know which one is automatically.

Edit: Which one automatically starts up.

It worked, but when I run the .bat it says "0 files copied" even though it recognizes the drive. Any hints? Thanks again!
