T1 and Word Docs
I could read Word docs on my old 505. Can I also do so on my T1?
Thanks |

No. (Unless you're willing to root it and install CoolReader.)

Or if you have word you can install a free plugin that allows you to convert a word doc to lit format (or you can just save your word document as plain text which can be read on the T1)which can be then converted to epub using calibre ....a bit convoluted but workable

As I recall the Sony eBook Library software converted from DOC to RTF format for you so the RTF file is then what was transferred to the 505. Or, alternatively, you could just save your file in Word as an RTF.

Depending on what version of Word you may have on your computer you may be able to save the word file as pdf. But really if you don't mind formatting being gone, just save your word files as .txt because the T1 can read TXT files.
