Alternate source in dual MOBI6/MOBI8 files?
Say I have some code that works fine in MOBI8, but doesn't degrade well in MOBI6. Is there any way to get the MOBI6 part of a dual 6/8 file to use alternate code for that section?

No, there isn't. IIRC kindlegen as something like that, though for CSS not content using media queries.
