Where are the pre-release purchase buttons?
I'm used to buying things in advance and having them show up at my door on the release date. Harry Potter books, music CDs, etc. Well, I want the new front-lit kindle. I want it at my door on Thursday. Come on, Amazon!

Oh, I would love to wait, but my K4 has a nick on the screen (don't kow how that happened, cause it is always in the case!). So I can justify another bare bones kindle. Although if they come out with one with 3G, I wll have to think hard.

Wasn't the Kindle 4 / Basic Kindle immediately available for purchase? I seem to recall it was announced together with the Touch and the Fire, but the latter two were actually released quite a bit later.

I might remember wrong, though.
