CBZ metadata format
Hi.
I am wondering what CBZ metadata format is used. I have not been able to locate any information on this and there are multiple formats used for this purpose. If someone could point me in the right direction I'd be grateful. |

Is this still valid? I have a CBZ file with metadata, but Calibre seems to think that all persons are writers, even though they are for inks and cover and whatnot.
[edit]Here's the metadata in question: {"appID":"Comixology Backup","lastModified":"2015-09-09T04:30:20.144Z","ComicBookInfo/1.0": {"series":"","title":"","publisher":"","publicatio nMonth":"","publicationYear":"","issue":"","number OfIssues":"","volume":"","numberOfVolumes":"","rat ing":"","genre":"","language":"","country":"","cre dits":[{"person":"Ty Templeton","role":"Writer","primary":"YES"},{"pers on":"Terry Beatty","role":"Artist","primary":"YES"},{"person" :"Joe Staton","role":"Artist"},{"person":"Lee Loughridge","role":"Colorer","primary":"YES"},{"pe rson":"Ty Templeton","role":"Cover","primary":"YES"}]}} Can't put it in CODE tags, it has no line-breaks... Also, there are no blanks in "rating", not sure why it's displayed like that. Last edited by Cyberman tM; 09-09-2015 at 12:44 AM. |

Yes, it is. calibre has no builtin support for creator roles other than author. If you want that, you have to create your own custom column and manage it manually.

That's sad to read. Then I'd have a feature request: could Calibre recognize other roles and discard those that are not author? |

No because having extra authors for people that dont want the information is better than not having the authros at all for people that do want the information
