Suggestion for Avenir-like sans- font?

I really like the bundled Avenir font but it doesn't seem to support italics / reverts to bold. What is a similar unadorned font I can install myself that would include italics? Thanks.

It's also possible that the lack of other faces is a bug in the 2.0.0 firmware.

Thanks for the link. Seems strange that Kobo would bundle a typeface that excludes basic features like italics so perhaps it is a bug, although other fonts include them.

As a datapoint, I can confirm that Avenir italics work properly in the old .17 firmware.

Yes but there have been changes in how fonts are handled in the 2.0 levels; the font Avenir was actually not in either of the upgrade packages for 1.9.15 or 1.9.17 but IS in the images for the 2.0 versions.

So I think for the older firmware levels, the Avenir being used was from the original firmware of the Touch, while for 2.0 it is an updated version.

If it was working before this is surely a bug then. I guess I'll wait for a firmware update which hopefully puts it right.
