Using Calibre as a Python Library

Hi All,

I'm new to using Calibre. I'm trying to figure out how to import the ebook conversion components of Calibre into my Python project. I've taken a look at http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/develop.html but the page suggests I should already have a copy of the Calibre binaries. I was hoping I could simply call the conversion functions within Python using only the Calibre source? Any tips?

The conversion functions in calibre and are not python only. calibre depends on a huge number of third party libraries. You are not going to be able to simply import and use calibre in a python project.
