Unhappy Kobo books different titles now

I have had my Kobo touch a few months now and am very pleased with it.

I download most of my books through Kobo books.
When I click download they import into ADE.
Since I use Calibre, I then open Calibre click add books and search ADE folder for the book to add to my library.

At first the books were easy to find as called the name of the book
However now for some reason they are called strange titles Jumbled numbers or smashwords
So I am unable to find them to add to calibre

Any advice please?

Thanks.
The book has the correct name in ADE itself
It's when I search for it in ADE folder in Docs ( to import it into Calibre) that it shows strange names
The names were the same in the books I downloaded up till recently

Incidentally ADE i try not to use much if at all As has frozen every time I opened it after a while.

Sort the ADE folder by date. The most recent files will be the ones not added to Calibre. I also use the view manager plugin in Calibre to easily view my library on date added (I don't normally have that column visible.)

Here is an excellent and easy-to-follow guide on how to automate adding your books to Calibre:
http://dearauthor.com/ebooks/using-b...es-to-calibre/

This particular guide is for Windows. There should be a link in the article for how to accomplish the same on a Mac.

I found it to work seamlessly once set up and it should eliminate any confusion as to what has/not been added to Calibre already.

Right click on Calibre column header with names for each column. Select add your own column from drop down menu. You can add column that is in name list but not checked. You can click on + on right side to add your own custom column.

Calibre is much like a text adventure game. First copy your Calibre library to a new folder. Now right click on everything to see hidden drop down menu items and try them to see what happens. You should have chance to cancel before anything bad happens. Worst case you have to reinstall Calibre and use your backed up library.

Everything on your computer or reader you don't want to loose should be backed up stored away from your computer location so it can survive most any disaster.

Thank you It looks interesting
Can I query this with you though -

Step 1: Create folder for Calibre additions

Before we start setting up Belevedere we want to make a new folder where Calibre will look for books to add to its library. Mine is called “Calibre_Add”, but you can call it whatever you want.

Why do I need this folder? All my DRM boks are in ADE.

Copy and paste from Calibre Library folder to different folder on your computer or to USB connected drive will work

I often use my e-reader to transfer books to a different computer running Calibre. If needed run welcome wizard in calibre preferences for the e-reader your connecting. After Calibre is finished listing books on device and storage card A.
(All of my side loaded books are on SD Card) so I select Storage Card A from Calibre's Icon menu bar.
On book list menu click on "In Library" column header.
Now I use control select or shift select to select books for transfer.
Next with curser over selections press right mouse button brings up menu. Select add to library.

When Calibre auto-adds from a folder, it moves the file into the Calibre library and a copy no longer exists in the source folder. If you like to keep copies of your books in ADE as well as Calibre, you should have Calibre pull from another folder (the article explains how to have Belvedere automatically copy downloaded books into the CalibreAdd folder). If you don't want to keep the copies in the ADE folder, then I don't see why you need to make an extra folder for Calibre to pull files from.

Hope that made sense!

But I still have my books in ADE also.

Just they are not called by the name of the book(as they were months ago when first downloaded books from kobo)
