Calibre won't download
I got the message that a new version of Calibre was ready. I opted for the update. File starts to download but stalls at 22.1Mb (still some 50Mb to go). Whatever browser I use (IE, Chrome, Safari or Firefox), it stalls at 22.1Mb. I've tried it on different systems as well: Window and OSX.

Anybody any idea?

Have you tried using the "Alternate Download Location" link on the Windows download page?

You may have read this FAQ already: http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/faq.html#id53

Your ISP may be 'shaping' your download or since you mentioned multiple systems: A security appliance (but never hear a report of this) may be doing something

BTW Today is Thursday
On Friday, the newest versions appear

I generally wait until this time of the week to download, too. It gives a few days for problems to emerge. As you know, not all new versions of Calibre work flawlessly .

That is why I always keep the last installer in the 'downloads' folder

I have only used it a few times, as I could usually live with the flaw

But then, I also want to experience the new version so any advice given reflects what IS.
