Korean ebook reader
I'm currently visiting Korea on business and got into a conversation tonight about ebook readers. The person I was talking with is very interested in finding one - she lives in Seoul (and I'm from the US, so couldn't be of much help in suggesting which one). A little research suggests that the Kindle (my preference) is not very suitable.
What I'm looking for is a recommendation of an ebook reader that would be available in Korea, supports Korean books and has a good selection of Korean books that can be purchased. Can someone suggest something suitable for my friend? Thanks in advance Rich |

cheap Kyobo eReader
Hi~ I live in Seoul, Korea. I recommend you a kyobo eReader. as you know, it is the first device with mirasol technology and uses Androd 2.3 OS.
Kyobo abandoned this device to sell and they set the selling status as sold out in their homepage in these days. but you can buy it through the korean online book shopping mall(book.11st.co.kr, you have to understand Korean if you want to buy it). it's less than $90 more than 70% dc from the original price around $300. maybe it's a pretty good chance to buy a good device with low price. |

Philip: Thanks for the suggestion. Are many Korean language books available for this reader?

sure~
yes. kyobo is the market dominent company in the korea book market. it will not be broke out
![]() it's very hard to choose one ebook reader because which book seller will sell the book that you want to read. and bought one works only in the specific devices. in this situation, android OS supporting device is a good choice. if you do rooting with it, you can read any books that you have bought from different ebook stores and borrow most books that are selling now in ebook stores from free ebook libraries. I am just talking about Korea ebook market. if you want to have more information, search it. there are lots of information about this device. but its selling will only be vaild on 29. June, korea time. good luck~ |
