Importing question
Is it possible to import the title of a book without actually importing the book?
Basically I have a huge mess of digital comic books that I want to organize. I've worked with ComicRack a bit but I feel that Calibre is light years ahead as far as actual organization and being able to properly find and remove duplicates; of which I know I have a lot. I'd like to be able drop a copy of the library onto a USB stick or sd card so I can work on the sorting whenever I get the chance whether it be on my laptop or at work or home. Being as the amount of comics I currently have is just shy of 1TB... Yeah, not gonna fit on a USB or SD card with the actual books attached. I know that I can import them all into Calibre and then delete the attached formats but I was thinking it might go faster if the attached books just weren't imported in the first place. |

It's a breeze to import the whole metadata if you can get the ISBN of the books: select "Add books", then "Add from ISBN".
