I'm a radiologist who wants to read journal articles on a device like the Iliad. I'm wondering if someone out there could do me a favor, please. Below is a link to a typical type of PDF file I'd be looking at. Would someone please upload it to their Iliad and post images of how it looks on the Iliad screen?

Here are a few things I'm looking at:

1. I'm wondering if the 16 levels of gray are enough to display CT images well.
2. What is the speed of displaying a page after the page-turn bar is pressed, given the amount of graphics that are present.
3. Is the text "readable" without having to do too much zooming and rotating to landscape mode.

Thank you very, very much in advance. I'm hoping to buy the device by the end of this week.

Here are some pictures. Loading the file took about 5 seconds (wich is about the avarage for opening a pdf file) and turning a page took (first to second page) about 1,3 seconds. Since it's a A4 document and you size it to about A5 you get a pretty small text size but I can still read it thought you might wanna use landscape mode.

Ow you'll have to take my word on the text readability because my webcam isn't that good

Ok the quality of thoose pictures are totally not representable for what I'm seeing on my iliad

The images are displayed very sharp but I can't take a picture 'cause of the lack of a good light source and picture taking device (no... the cellphone didn't work either

).

you'll find an assorted set of other radiology journal examples... as you can see, the 16 levels of gray are just sufficient; 4 levels are clearly not enough.
