Amazon Publishing makes some e-books available to other retailers

The books are Oliver Pötzsch’s bestselling “The Hangman’s Daughter” and the sequel to that book, “The Dark Monk,” released on Tuesday.

Looks like Amazon is continuing to push into publishing-as the publishers are pushing into direct sales.
Its early days yet-but it seems like as ebooks take over the market, there is a move to vertical solutions-where authors feed their manuscripts into one pipe that goes straight to the consumer. Is that good or bad?
