Question about limited time free ebooks downloaded from the store

So here's a hypothetical situation. Let's say I've downloaded a free book as a kepub to my touch that is a limited time offer. Down the road it goes back to being it's normal price. After reading it I delete it off my touch and sync it so that the book is no longer in my library. Later still I decide I'd like to re-read said book but the epub I downloaded through ADE has become corrupted. Will I now have to buy the book at full price to read it? I doubt this will ever happen since I always download my books and backup the epubs in a couple of different places but just thinking ahead to some catastrophic failure of all backups simultaneously. Thanks for any info.

As long as the book appears in your Purchased list, you will be able to continue to download the ePUB books with no further charge. If you want the kepub again, bookmark the book in your purchased list and it will then be in your I'm Reading list and available to you through sync.

The issue arises when there are free books that never end up on your purchased list. I am not sure what the situation is currently with those.

That's the thing. None of my free downloads appears in my purchased list. Only the books I actaully purchased.

I would suggest that you keep a backup of the ePUB version, in that case. Somewhere on the board there is a long post (written by me) about the changes to the library that speaks about this issue. I am just not sure if anything has changed since then--it was written a number of months ago.

Like I said I have multiple backups just in case. I was just curious. Hopefully the issue will never come up. Thanks for your input.
