can I use calibre to store details of all the books on my kindle so I can connect another kindle and add the collection?

Are both Kindles yours? Why not just have both on your Amazon account?

I use Calibre to manage 3 kindles (1 k3 and 2 k4s) and my Sony 350. It works very well. But then, I'm a friend of Alf's.
