Can't update to 4.1.0 - is it due to software hack?
I have 2 x Kindle 4 NT's, and both have the non-jailbreak screensaver hack installed.

Neither will update to 4.1.0 (error U006 at stage 2)

I have a friend with a non-hacked K4 NT, and the same update worked fine.

Any ideas?

Yes, you need to uninstall your hacks before you update. That's almost certainly the problem.

No, you do NOT need to uninstall any hacks.

At the risk of annoying people who warned me that technical details do not belong in this forum, here are some (annoying) technical details:

Just restore your original screensaver folder before updating. The screensaver hack renames the original folder so it is easy to rename it back.
