Some mobis can be sideloaded/delivered to Kindle iPad app...others can not

I have about 20 unprotected mobi files that I'm trying to load onto my iPad. All but about four of them were sideloaded with no problems. (I used the iTunes file sharing feature for the Kindle app.) The problem mobis WILL NOT upload no matter what I do. I have tried deleting and reloading several times. I also sent them to my iPad's Kindle address and even used the "Send to Kindle" PC program. The best I can do with any of these four or so files is to reach 97% downloaded. (And no, it has nothing to do with Wi-Fi connection problems.) Has anyone else experienced anything like this? What is the explanation/solution? (BTW, the problem mobis have no issues whatsoever on the Kindle for PC reading app.)

Similar experience side loading to a 5G iPod Touch. Never figured it out, but used the "Send to Kindle" app on OSX to send to the Amazon cloud, and was seen from there by all devices where I was logged. Presumably something similar for PC? -Bill |

Yeah, the "Send to Kindle" PC program is one of the things I tried. I think I've covered all available options, but the best I can get is 97% downloaded. (Sometimes, I don't even get that!) I'm at a complete loss, since all files in question are unprotected mobis. ???

Or maybe mobi -> some other format -> mobi. Sometimes trying to convert mobi -> mobi just gets things confused.
