ScrapBook to Calibre

Hi,

as some of you may know, there is a ScrapBook add on for Firefox which allows you to save pages for later offline viewing. I was looking for a tool that would allowed me to transfer those saved pages to Calibre to read them later on using Kindle. Because I was unable to find anything, I've created a simple Perl script that allows you to do that (posted as an attachement).

The script is intended to run unattented, so all the configuration is at the beginning of the script (namely paths to ScrapBook storage, to calibredb and name of the ScrapBook folder to use as a source for transfer).

In the future, I'd love to see this integrated into the Calibre itself.

Some terminal pretty-typping added to avoid debug output of calibredb (optional via $USETERMINAL).

Bugfix and new feature release:
- platform independent construction of paths (bug fix)
- better sanity checks on user-configurable parameters (bug fix - sort of)
- support for recursively grabbed pages (aka site type) in ScrapBook (feature)

Only HTML is supported for now and PDF is on my TODO list once I have some spare time

calibre plugin

thanks!

would be great if smb. would take the code & make a calibre-plugin out of it.

also support for Mozilla's Archive Format would be nice.
