Cases with the four-corner elastic mount

From day one I've been using a zipped DVD sleeve for my Nook. It's the right height.

I read that the clip mechanism on official B&N cases makes the Nook tilt when pressing the side buttons as the clip is mounted on the left.

Recommend me cases that use the four-corner elastic mount other than the eBay ones from China.

Which Kindle Touch cases are wide enough to fit the Nook Simple Touch?

M-Edge. Pricey, but do the job.

M-Edge's Nook Simple Touch cases use plastic clips to hold the Nook in place.

I prefer M-Edge's custom cases but they don't do them for the Nook Simple Touch, only the 1st Gen. I wanna buy the custom Kindle Touch cases hoping that they fit the Nook Simple Touch.

Belkin makes a Nook STR case with the elastic corner mounts. So does Verso. I don't know what M-Edge was thinking, but the last few things I've bought from them have been less than best quality products.

I bought a latitude jacket for my first Nook STR and was really disappointed not only by the 4 point frame, but by the fact that there was NO padding inside the front of the cover, and NO pocket. That said, M-edge's 4 point frame still beats B&N's 2 point clips hands down.

The left side buttons do indeed make the B&N cover flop around a bit when they are pressed. So ... I press the right side buttons and the case works perfectly fine.

Don't like those cases with nicker elastic in the corners

I've ordered a black leather case for my new Nook ST from SkinDigital

I expect to be happy with it as the one I bought for my Kobo is excellent

I got an Mcover for mine. Only had it a couple of days, but I do love it! It's not elastic in the corner, but shaped leather corners. Don't know how these will do after a number of in/out of the reader, but the case seems very well made to me. I like the rubberband closing. Prefer it to all the magnetic ones you usually see on the cheap covers.

None of the Kindle covers work with the Nook (I've tried), but I bought an M-Edge Go Case IN BLACK (the other colors use the plastic cage) and it has shaped corners on the bottom and elastic on the top. It works very well.

Oberon Designs has a cover that fits the Nook and connects on the corners too. They are heavy, sturdy, expensive and very attractive.

I don't care for the plastic cages either but those are the only ones I've found with corner connections for the Nook touch models. I've taken to using a Cambridge Cover from Barnes and Noble. It has a plastic cage and it wobbles when I press the left paging buttons but not as much as some due to having a rigid spine.

I'm a fool for covers. It's like having a different book when I change covers. Yeah...I know.

I'm also a sucker for a nice cover. For my simple touch, I'm on my third one. I was frustrated at not being able to find a case and finally settled for an m-edge. It did the job but I hated the color (it was the only color available at the time) and hated the hard spine (I want a flexible spine so it will fold back flat) and within a month, it started to delaminate.

meanwhile ...

I paid a local artisan (ha! retired ex-cop turned leather worker who made gun holsters) to make one to my design. He totally screwed it up. The leather work is very nice but it is too small, too stiff, and not conducive to holding comfortably. That was an expensive mistake.

Finally ...

I found one at B&N that does the job. Discounted from $30 to $20.

beaker of alien blood in water not included!

It does use the clips to hold the nook. While they appear suspiciously under-engineered, they seem do the job nicely. It does 'flop' about a quarter of an inch if held upside-down, but it has not been a problem. The clasp is neodymium magnetic, which I like. The outer fabric (a synthetic) has the same chalkboard feel that the nook has; a bit disconcerting but I've become used to it.

If I can find another (more competent) artisan, I may try my luck again and have one handmade.
