location of dictionaries?
Could someone tell me the location of the dictionaries on the PRS-T1? I'd like to be able to back them up.

Don't really see the advantages of any "ready-fitted" dictionaries, as against downloading some decent ones, stick 'em in Calibre, load up, and you already have them in Library "backed up" if needed.
Dunno about other readers, but the different generation Sony ones I know about, and they are pretty skimpy - OK for quick checks, but not very good in their "foreign" versions IMO. The "American - English" one is extremely erratic, I've found. On the other hand, Wiktionary's good, and pretty up to date, and available in most major languages, free of course, along with many more. |

they're in system partitions which are not visible from the pc.
You have to root the device and use the file manager or access to a console in some other ways |

No, but that is the one point for the built-in dictionary. It just comes down to how often you'll use it, how good a translation you want, and how quick you want it !
