No and no.

I've owned both a white and black iPad. I found the white bezel to be distracting. The black seems to just fade away into the background.

I love my Daughter's white Nook HD. So I would have no objection. But as I don't plan to buy another Fire, my opinion doesn't count

No, I wouldn't purchase a white Kindle Fire. The bezel would be distracting, and it may look dirty over time.

I don't know. A lot of my devices are white (phone, galaxy tab,iPad,ipt5). However I've always liked the look of the fire HD as it is in black. I finally intend to get one this month after I kept changing my mind and it will be interesting as it will be black!
