Kindle Keyboard discontinued?

I noticed this a little while ago and was hoping they were simply out of stock, but it appears Amazon no longer sells the Kindle Keyboard Wi-Fi only model. Does anybody know if this is official?

That's still my favorite Kindle model. I make frequent use of the keyboard and have no interest in a touchscreen. I'm also worried this bodes poorly for the future of the Keyboard line. I was looking forward to a Kindle Keyboard with built-in lighting.

My favorite too. I have the 3G + Wifi, which is still in stock. Hopefully they will at least keep that one.

I would guess its gone forever. The lighted covers are almost gone (only the black was left the last time I checked)

I bought my wife a 3G Keyboard a couple of months ago and it still had the older firmware on it (and this a long time after the updated firmware went live). So I think it was old stock they were selling off.

And the fact only the 3G is available just reinforces my thinking.

I'm pretty confused myself. For a few days in April, the kindle keyboard couldn't even be found on Amazon. Then it surfaced as 3G with ads only, but my local distributor--I'm not from the US--managed to get the wifi version with ads for me.

Perhaps you need to check with customer service?

I like the keyboards too, though I won't grumble if newer models have keyboards and are even lighter!

The change of inventory could indicate an August premiere of the Kindle Glow Light.

I've been suspecting they are gone for awhile too. I'm glad I bought a back-up off of clearance a couple of months ago.

Hopefully the "glowlight" when it comes out will bring back the page turn buttons.

A very much doubt we'll see a "Kindle Glow Light". I believe the term "Glow Light" is a B&N trademark.

I'm okay if they still let Kindle Keyboard (wifi or 3G) on the market.

I didn't really like the Kindle Touch, bought one but returned after a few days of testing.

I will do my best to hold off on getting anew Kindle until the touch has buttons. I know people say that they are not bad on the touch but the fingerprints on my IPad drive me nuts.

Fingerprints on the Touch is a NON-issue unlike tablets, including the Fire.
