The covers are looking nice.

The shoulderbag looks cheap, though.

I'm gratified to see iRex agreed with me about a plastic sheet to protect the display. I guess I'll have to order one but the problem is that the one I want, the deluxe portfolio doesn't offer much protection against cold and wet.

Which reminds me, I forgot to post and let everyone know what happened to my iLiad when it got down to -1C here last week. The screen gets less contrast, seems grayer. When you get back indoors and warm it up all is back to normal.

Looks a bit like the filofax cover I keep mine in... Ie, in leather, and with a sturdy cover to protect the screen as Scotty suggests... Came in handy as I dropped the bag it was contained in off the kitchen counter at work... Drop of about 1.5 m onto tiles...!

So they managed to get the covers up, at least for preorder. I'll be receiving my M-edge cover sometime nixt week (I hope) and will let you know how the cheaper alternatives they offer work.

I thought so too, specially the "deluxe" version (thanks iRex, I'm chuffed!)

Sorry if I offend anyone, but all the covers look like crap.

C'mon iRex, you can do better than that!

And the prices! Holy moly, 60 euro for the deluxe cover! Thats 40 euro too expensive!

The M-edge covers look a lot better imo.

Heres a quick comparison

The photos are really bad, I don't think you can judge from what you see there...

Indeed they are bad....plus my resizing messed them up.
But still...60EU is 77USD or 87CAD

Maybe it's just me, but i expected something different from iRex, something 'special' <shrug>

But do the m-edge covers have a plate to protect the screen of the iliad? I didnt read anything about that. So that would be the advantage of the iRex covers.

But i have to say, i dont think either really look good.

Hi Tribble,
They M-Edge covers have a hardboard insert in the front cover. Is that what you meant?

Definitely. A "eMotion Sleeve Jacket for iRex iLiad" review would be cool.

By the way the photos on buymedge are not better than iRex's ones; they are much too small.
