Displaying books in my Kindle Touch

I have a Kindle Touch and the books in my Kindle are displayed by either title, author or collections. When I see the ads for a Kindle, it shows books in a book shelf where you see the cover of the book. Was that just cover art for the Kindle to get me to purchase one

or is there a way to get my Kindle to look that way? I realize the book covers won't be in color unless I had a Kindle Fire but I love my Kindle Touch because I can read it in the sunlight.

Those ads will be showing the Kindle with a screen from the Amazon store I'd imagine.

Displaying your books by their cover is a feature the Kobo and Sony PRS-T1 both have, but not the Kindle, it's text only.

I just heard from two people in an Amazon forum that 1) The only Kindle that has books on a bookshelf is the Fire. There is a picture I've seen of the Touch that shows book covers, but it's actually a picture of the Touch accessing a web page with books on it. and 2) That view of book covers on the shelf only happens when you are in the Kindle Store.
I appreciate your feedback as well.
